1 – THE TOURNAMENT
The 3rd Puzzles.Pt – Educa Tournament takes place in person in Vila de Luso on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of November at the Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo Municipal de Luso. It is sponsored by Educa Borras S.A.U. and organized in partnership with the Parish of Luso and the Municipality of Mealhada.

The tournament is open to the participation of all people, young people, adults and children over 8 years old, and minors must be accompanied by an adult who gives their authorization to participate.
There will be 4 different types of competitions, two of which are made up of two semi-finals and one final:
Children – between 8 and 12 years old;
Singles (two semi-finals and one final) – adult and youth – for over 12s
Doubles (two semi-finals and one final) – adults and young people, where children aged 8 and over can participate as long as they are in partnership with a young person or adult over 14;
Teams (3 or 4 menbers) – adults and young people, where children can participate as long as there is someone over 18 years old on the team.
The objective of the competition is to assemble the largest number of pieces and be the fastest to do so in the pre-established time. Prizes in the finals will be awarded to the 3 fastest competitors/pairs/teams.
Registration is open until October 10, 2024 and registrants must pay the registration fee within 72 hours of receiving the payment details (which must be sent by email within 3 days of registration).
Places are limited. If all places are filled before October 10th, registration will be closed.
Children’s test – 30 places; individual adult test – 200 places; peer test – 200 places; team test – 50 places.
PUZZLE NIGHT
The event also features “Puzzle Night” – a celebration of free participation in the assembly of a 12,000-piece puzzle that will begin on the evening of the 22nd and will be available throughout the event. Participants, companions and Those curious about the tournament are invited to complete the puzzle with the other participants in a relaxed way and with no other objective than to try to finish the puzzle together over the 3 days.

2 – COMPETITION TESTS
In the tournament there are 4 types of competition events that will take place at the Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo Municipal de Luso.
The objective of the competition is to assemble the largest number of pieces and be the fastest to do so in the pre-established time.
Participants must arrive at the event location approximately 20 minutes before the start of the race.
Each participant must go to the table assigned to them in advance and communicated by the organization.
The same puzzles (packaged) will be distributed and will only be revealed at the beginning of the test by all participants (the puzzles are for the competitors).
In the semi-finals of the singles and doubles events, half of the participants from each semi-final will qualify for the final (the half with the best classification).
The distribution of participants for the semi-finals is done by preliminary draw by the organization and communicated to the participants by October 20th.
Registration for the individual and doubles events includes access to the semi-final and final, as long as they qualify – half of the competitors in the semi-finals (the best classified) will be classified for the final.

Single – €18
Pairs – €25
Team (3 to 4 people) – €35

3 – REGISTRATION
To register, you must fill out the form by October 10th, marking the competitions you want to participate in.
You must then wait for the payment details to be sent by email within 3 days and make the payment within 72 hours of receiving the details.
Places are limited. If all places are filled first, registration will be closed. Children’s – 30 places; individual adult – 200 places; pairs – 200 places; team – 50 places.

4 – PRIZES
The prize winners will be those who, at the end of each race, have assembled the most pieces in the least amount of time, whether the puzzle is completed or not. For the final count, they must count all groups that have 3 or more pieces fitted correctly.
In the case of the semifinals of the Individual and Doubles competitions, there will be no prizes, only in the finals of the respective competitions.
The prizes for the 3 fastest competitors/pairs/teams in each race will be as follows:
Children’s Individual
1st place – 1 puzzle of 1000 pieces
2nd place – 1 puzzle of 500 pieces
3rd place – 1 puzzle of 300 pieces
Single Adults
1st place – 1 puzzle of 4000 pieces + €100 card
2nd Place – 1 puzzle of 3000 pieces
3rd Place – 1 puzzle of 2000 pieces
Pairs
1st place – 2 puzzles of 3000 pieces + €150 card
2nd place – 2 puzzles of 2000 pieces
3rd place – 2 puzzles of 1000 pieces
Team
1st place – 4 puzzles of 2000 pieces + €200 card
2nd place – 4 puzzles of 1000 pieces
3rd place – 4 puzzles of 500 pieces
Prizes will be awarded at the end of each race.

5 – FINAL PROVISIONS
This championship is based on good faith on all sides. In cases where the rules are broken, the participants involved will be disqualified or penalized.
Any incident not provided for in this regulation must be resolved by the organization.
The organization will record photographic and video images that will be released publicly to promote the event and the organizing entities. By registering, all participants and guardians will be agreeing to this public disclosure.
